Hardee's is an American restaurant chain, which predominantly operates in the South and Midwest states. It has evolved through several corporate ownerships since its establishment in 1960. It is currently owned and operated by CKE Restaurants. Along with its sibling restaurant chain, Carl's Jr., Hardee's is the fifth largest fast-food restaurant chain in the United States after Subway, McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's. It is headquartered in downtown St. Louis, Missouri.




Carl's Jr. Western Bacon Cheeseburger

This restaurant copycat recipe is for the very popular Carl's Jr Western Bacon Cheeseburger.

Ingredients for Carl's Jr Western Bacon Cheese Burger

  • 1/4 lb ground beef
  • 2 frozen onion rings
  • 2 slices of bacon
  • 1 sesame seed hamburger bun
  • 1 slice of American cheese
  • 2 Tbsps Bulls Eye BBQ sauce


  1. Bake onion rings according to package.
  2. Form hamburger into a patty and cook until done.
  3. Fry bacon until crispy.
  4. Toast the faces of the bun.
  5. Spread BBQ sauce on the top and bottom of the bun.
  6. Place both onion rings on the bottom of the bun.
  7. Add cooked hamburger, cheese and bacon.
